The Inventory Types & Items template is a way to create an inventory of all items, such as furniture and appliances, in each unit/property. If you need to add any items, go to Property>Inventory to add new Inventory Items.
The sample template is attached at the end of the article. Fields in red are required. Please complete one template for every property listed in your portfolio.
Name: Unique name for the Inventory Item.
Inventory Type: Select a type from the Inventory Types Pick List. We have added some initial types for your convenience, but please add/change Inventory Types on this pick list by going to Admin>Pick Lists>Inventory Types.

- Hot Water Heater
Description: Please enter the desired description for the Inventory Item.
Location Type (Required only if adding a location): Select one of the following locations for the Inventory Item.
- Rentable Item
- WOIT Account
Location: Enter the name of the location where the inventory item is located at.
Make: Enter the Make of the Inventory Item.
Model: Enter the Model of the Inventory Item.
Serial Number: Enter the Serial Number of the Inventory Item.
Color/Finish: Enter the Color or Finish of the Inventory Item.
Size: Enter the size of the Inventory Item.
Warranty Expiration Date: Enter the Expiration Date of the Inventory Item's Warranty. Must be in date format (mm/dd/yyyy)
Purchase Date: Enter the Inventory Item's Purchase Date. Must be in date format (mm/dd/yyyy).
Vendor: Please enter the name of the vendor associated with the Inventory Item.
GL Account: Please enter the GL Account associated with the Inventory Item. This must be an exisiting GL Account in ResMan.
Cost: Enter cost amount in the format "0.00"
